    Campaigner, humanitarian and activist, Leon is fearless in responding to injustice and inequality. His purpose is leveraging the potential of food to make a positive difference in the world. He:

     

    • Contributes to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2, Zero Hunger
    • Supports food security (the measure of an individual's ability to access food that is nutritious and sufficient in quantity)
    • Supports the Chefs' Manifesto, a not-for-profit that brings together chefs to act now for a sustainable food system, and
    • Avoids food waste through using food surplus.

     

    Leon is a trailblazer and passionate about inspiring others to be the difference and challenging how the world responds to food-related issues. Where Leon sees a pressing need, he’ll take action, e.g., addressing food insecurity for refugees in Calais and for Londoners during Covid, and supporting children in developing countries by giving them school lunches.
